Welcome to our new student, Nigel, and welcome back to Humaira and Saarth! We are now at 22 students again with the addition of these three and our sweet Janani moving away in December. It's nice to have everyone back and get back into our learning routines!
Lewis & Clark with Sacagawea - test Wednesday / review sheet coming home tomorrow.
MLK Jr holiday Monday, 1/20.
THIS WEEK - Flyer came home in the blue folder with fun daily opportunities to support our Honor Society for $1 (also daily).
MATH: Continued work on measurement using different items, beginning to work on telling time to the hour and half hour.
READING: Continuing to work on retelling what we read, also putting ourselves into our characters' place to better understand what we read.
WRITING: Making sure ALL basic mechanics of writing are not only in place, but are consistent but also automatic. Writing poems in the class.
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE: Wrapping up & testing on Lewis & Clark with Sacagawea, then beginning our study about magnets.
Please continue to send in a small, healthy, non-messy snack daily. Please help children choose something other than cookies or cupcakes if they select their own snacks.
